KAGISHIRO Justin CEO

With over 27 years of extensive professional experience, including two decades at LOLC Unguka Finance Plc, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation since its inception. His career trajectory encompasses various leadership positions, rising in his current role as Chief Executive Officer. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Kigali Independant University (ULK) and a master’s degree in economics from the School of Economics at the University of Rwanda, which has provided him with a solid analytical foundation for navigating and interpreting complex financial landscapes.

Roshan A. Gunawardena DCEO

A highly dynamic professional with 29+ years of experience across multiple industries, including 24+ years as a veteran banker. His expertise spans corporate leadership, strategic planning, branch networks, sales, marketing, bancassurance, and operations. He spearheads organizational operations while safeguarding investor interests in Rwanda. Holds an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, and is partly qualified in Chartered Institute of Marketing. Passionate about sustainable impact and people development, creating advancement platforms for team growth.

Lahiru Rangana Silva CBO

A banking and finance professional with 20+ years of experience in commercial, SME, and retail banking, relationship management, collections, business strategy, digital finance, and credit management. Has held leadership roles at Sri Lanka's largest banks and financial institutions, with extensive international experience in Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. Currently serves as Chief Business Officer at LOLC Unguka Finance PLC Rwanda, overseeing business development, product development, and marketing while managing 100 staff including 15 managers, emphasizing financial inclusion and sustainable growth.

Bhathiya Gamage Prasanna CSO

Bhathiya Prasanna Gamage brings over 20 years of experience in banking, finance, and strategic consulting. As Chief Strategy Officer, he oversees IT, operations, and credit while leading digital transformation and business development initiatives. He has successfully driven strategic interventions across Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, focusing on automation and fintech integration. A visionary leader instrumental in East African expansion, he mentors banking professionals regionally. Holds a Master's in Financial Economics and BSc in Financial Engineering from University of Colombo, with professional banking certifications.

DUSABIRANE Aimable CFO

Joined LOLC Unguka Finance in November 2019 as Treasury Manager, appointed CFO in January 2021. With 19 years of experience, he previously served Umwalimu SACCO for 11 years in various senior positions including Financial Analyst, Senior Internal Auditor, Head of Operations, Acting Managing Director, and Head of Finance. Also worked as auditor with TM Auditors Ltd for 2 years. Holds a Master's in Finance & Control from Amity University, India, and Bachelor's in Accounting Sciences from University of Rwanda. Certified with CFIP and ACI Dealing certificates.

NYIRANYAMIBWA Vestine Head of Business

Vestine holds a bachelor's degree in management, from Kigali Independent University, and Associate Degree in Management, also from Kigali Independent University. Before joining Unguka Bank, she was an account and Chief account, in Supreme Court. She has held other senior positions in Unguka Bank such as Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Administration and Finance Director, Operations and Transactions Director. She is working in Unguka Bank from its creation.

BIDAHOMBA Patrick Head of Legal, CS

Patrick BIDAHOBA holds Bachelor degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice respectively from Kigali Independent University and the Institute of Legal Practice and Development. He joined the company in 2011 and served as Head of Legal & Company Secretary. Before joining the Company, he worked for the Public Sector where he served as Legal Adviser at National post Office. Patrick has 19 years experiences (in both public and private). During the 13 years serving LUF, Patrick demonstrated experience in comprehensive legal knowledge and experience across various areas including, corporate governance, contract drafting and reviewing and regulatory compliance.

KARAMBIZI Patrick Head of Credit

Patrick joined UNGUKA BANK PLC as Head of Credit since April 2019. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Option: Finance from the Independent Institute of Lay Adventists of Kigali. He has 20 years' experience in MSMEs loan management including risk. Before Joining UNGUKA BANK, Patrick has been Head of Credit at AGASEKE BANK LTD (Now BANK OF AFRICA) for 9 years, and 4 years as Head of Credit and Risk at Atlantis Microfinance LTD.

NDAGIJIMANA Diane Head of Operations

Dynamic and result-oriented Head of Operations with 20 years of success in technology-based banking operations. Diane has extensive experience at former Banque Populaire du Rwanda, progressing through roles including treasury officer, clearing officer, reconciliation officer, team leader, and E-Banking Operations Manager before joining LOLC Unguka Finance. She also served as CEO of SOSOMA Industries Ltd for 3 years. Holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration (Accounting) from Adventist University of Central Africa and is PMP certified with expertise in project management and strategic execution

NIYOGUSHIMWA Marcel Head of Internal Audit/CAE

Marcel is currently Head/CAE for the Internal Audit Department, a position reporting functionally to the Board Audit Committee and administratively to the Chief Executive Officer, LOLC UNGUKA Finance Plc. He has over 8+ years of post-qualification experience in financial institutions (banking and insurance) in reputable institutions such as Prime Insurance and National Bank of Rwanda and 2+ years of experience in the education sector in Rwanda at KIBOGORA Polytechnic Institute and Cornerstone & Luthier Advisory services as Part time Lecturer.

TUYISHIME Clemence Head of HR & Admin

Clemence is an HR professional with extensive experience in strategic human resource management. Currently Head of HR at LOLC Unguka Finance Plc, she previously served as HR Manager at BPR Bank, shaping HR policies and workforce development. Specializing in HR strategy, employee engagement, and workplace culture, she aligns HR initiatives with business objectives to drive productivity and retention. Committed to continuous improvement, Clemence leverages data-driven insights for enhanced performance and sustainability. Currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management with CIPD to strengthen her HR leadership expertise.

Mosozi Werner Head of Information Technology

Werner is a seasoned Computer Engineer with extensive expertise in technology, business management, and international development. Currently Head of IT at LOLC Unguka Finance Plc, he leads strategic IT initiatives and innovation. Previously served as Head of IT at COPEDU Plc, integrating digital services, and as Systems and Network Manager at BPR, where he spearheaded broadband connectivity for branches and oversaw critical IT infrastructure upgrades. With expertise in Agile methodologies, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution, Werner continues driving IT leadership and digital transformation across organizations.
